Final examinations - handing and defending you thesis
Thesis
The final examination consists of an original thesis written by the student under the guidance of a supervisor. The final examination includes a period of field research and/or laboratory work and/or internship/internship in a public or private professional companies. The thesis will be discussed in front of a Commission appointed by the Director of the Department.
With regard to confidential information, knowledge, and materials, i.e. not publicly accessible, that will be made available for the development of the thesis or other final test, the student will be asked to sign a "Confidentiality Agreement", according to the model approved by the Academic Senate.
Uploading Thesis
It is recommended to read the GUIDELINES and pay particular attention to the following aspects.
1) The document uploaded on the Uniweb portal must:
represent the final version of the thesis
- be in PDF/A format: instructions for creating a document in a PDF/A format
- have a maximum size of 40 megabytes
- be named according to the standard SURNAME_NAME.pdf (e.g.: ROSSI_MARIO.pdf).
2) The upload of the final document of the thesis must be completed NO LATER THAN 8 DAYS PRIOR to the date of the graduation call;
The deadline is mandatory and any replacement of the attachment with the thesis paper is possible only within the deadline.
!! Further important notes
3) At least 15 days before the date of the discussion of the final dissertation, the student must send the graduation confirmation form in .pdf format to the Teaching Secretariat.
