A showcase of the laboratories at the Department of Geosciences

On February 18, 2025, from 9.30 to 12, the Department of Geosciences is hosting the Geosciences Laboratories Day, an event dedicated to showcasing its research facilities, with a special focus on recently implemented instruments.
The event is designed for PhD students, research fellows, and faculty members, aiming to highlight the capabilities of the laboratories, access procedures, and the latest equipment available for research and teaching.
Among the featured instruments are the new microdiffraction diffractometer, equipment for non-invasive testing on built structures, the LabScope-ZEN system for microscopy analysis, as well as laboratories specializing in infrared spectroscopy (μFT-IR), ICP-MS, and FEG-FIB-WDS-EDS. A unique opportunity to explore the department’s resources, learn about the potential of new technologies, and engage with laboratory experts. Participation is open to all interested attendees!
