Prof. Fabrizio Nestola was awarded the Dana Medal 2024

Prof. Fabrizio Nestola of the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padova, was awarded the Dana Medal 2024 of the Mineralogical Society of America.
The Dana Medal is intended to recognize sustained outstanding scientific contributions through original research in the mineralogical sciences by an individual in the midst of his or her career.
The Mineralogical Society of America Dana Medal was established in 1998 in honor of the legendary contributions by James Dwight Dana (1813-1895) and Edward Salisbury Dana. It is one of the most important international awards in the field of mineralogy.
Prof. Fabrizio Nestola will be awarded at the Geological Society of America conference that will take place in California in September 2024.
Prof. Nestola is Full Professor of Mineralogy since 2015, he is former Head of the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padova (2018-2022) and he is currently the President of the University Museum Centre.
