Fostering Connections: Geosciences Annual Meeting, Year Two

On the afternoon of Thursday, June 19th, the Department of Geosciences at the University of Padua celebrated its second Annual Meeting, continuing a new academic tradition that began in 2024.
The event, proposed by the Department's Scientific Committee, aims to offer an important opportunity for knowledge sharing, promoting collaboration and exchange of ideas in a convivial atmosphere.
The day began with a series of presentations in the Arduino Hall, where nine speakers, among newly hired personnel, illustrated their respective fields of study, offering an in-depth look at some of the numerous research lines in which the Department is active.
Subsequently, the event continued with a research poster session open to all staff. The materials were displayed on dedicated panels in the east entrance area, in a manner similar to that typical of conferences, which allowed for further exchanges and discussions among colleagues.
The day concluded with a delicious refreshment offered by the Department, creating a relaxed atmosphere for networking and conversations.
This second Annual Meeting has contributed to strengthening the sense of community within the Department of Geosciences, an entity that in recent years has experienced significant growth, including in terms of personnel.
Looking to the future, this annual event promises to be an increasingly important catalyst for scientific excellence and cohesion within the Department of Geosciences.
