Dr. Giorgia Dalla Santa is awarded the European Geosciences Union 2021 ERE Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award

Dr. Giorgia Dalla Santa, postdoc researcher at the Department of Geosciences, has been awarded the 2021 Energy, Resources and the Environment (ERE) Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award for her outstanding research on shallow geothermal systems for building conditioning.

The award has been conferred by EGU, the European Geosciences Union, in occasion of the EGU 2021 General Assembly. The aim of the Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Awards is to recognise the scientific achievements made by an Early Career Scientist in his/her research field(s).

Dr. Dalla Santa will present her main research outcomes in a dedicated lecture entitled “Deformations and permeability variations in fine sediments induced by freezing-thawing cycles caused by borehole heat exchangers”, that will take place online on 27 April, 16:25–16:35 CEST.

More information on the lecture is available here. The lecture is available only to those who attend the EGU 2021 General Assembly.
