Claudia Benvegnù gets two medals at the 2025 National University Championships in canoeing and rowing
Claudia Fabiola Benvegnù has returned from the 2025 National University Championships in canoeing and rowing with two bronze medals, confirming her position at the top of both university and professional competitions.
The Canadian canoe athlete and master's student at the Department of Geosciences, where she is enrolled in the second year of the Earth Dynamics curriculum, reached the podium in Sabaudia during the weekend of October 4-5, securing two of the four medals won by Cus Padova.
Claudia Fabiola Benvegnù claimed third place in the C1 500 meters category with a time of 2'31:88, and then repeated her success in the 200 meters, clocking in at 1’03:19.
For the past four years, Claudia has been a prominent figure in the world of university canoeing and beyond. She is also a role model for the student community in our Department. After completing her bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences, she is now pursuing her master's degree while successfully managing both her academic and athletic careers.
